» mathon - How do we get ecotourists to Gabon
Hi Nina,In what part of Gabon were you exactly? I have been in Minkebe a few times and try to find people interested to go there, it is unprecendented, but tough. You described how the jungle can be. What magazines have you been writing for?
With kind regards,

In response to How do we get ecotourists to Gabon posted by mathon:Hi Mathon, I was there with Mistral Voyages from Libreville, on a commission for a South African publisher 'Black Eagle Publishing'. I went around Lope Reserve and the forests and Bateke Plateau around Fraceville, Lamberebe, and of course Libreville and the coastal areas nearby. I was offered a subsequent trip to Moukalaba-Doudou National Park but unfortunately could not make it. That park is one of the better places to see gorillas I think and it should be marketed accordingly. I will have a look through your website. Kind regards,
Nina

The region of Franceville in southeastern Gabon, is located between the forest area and the savannah plateaux. It has become a main centre of ecotourism.
