In response to Cairo's pyramids posted by rdrisdelle:You are right, and that is what I tried to convey in my article. Disappointing at first until you get to the other side of them, and only then can you appreciate their size. You are also right about the aggressive vendors!

I was at Giza only 3 weeks ago ... and I have to say the situation with the hawkers is better than it was when I last visited in 1993.
Tip: If you photograph a mounted policeman, he's not allowed to accept 'baksheesh' ... but is allowed to take it on behalf of the horse!

I'm carrying on this discussion topic because I believe many people visit the last remaining Wonders of the Ancient World. Who can go to Egypt and not visit the Pyramids at Giza?
So, anyone who has anything to say about their visit to the Pyramids, please let us know? Anyone seen the lights show?
